Story of Windsor Depot

Gosper's Bus Service operated the first buses servicing the Windsor area. This was a family run business, which began operation in 1890s, with a horse drawn bus. The depot was situated behind the Gosper family home in Richmond Road, Windsor.

The depot eventually moved to Thorley Street. In 1981 Gosper's Bus Service merged with Duffy's Bus Lines to form Macquarie Towns Coach Lines. Westbus acquired this operation in 1988.

The Windsor Depot at Thorley Street, South Windsor, continues to serve the Hawkesbury people with a fleet of fifty vehicles and a staff of sixty.
